Special Hammered Dulcimer Workshop - Mexican Folk Music for the Salterio! all the way from Mexico, Alejandra Barrientos from the duo Dulcemelos, will give a workshop on Mexican music and Salterio,the Mexican version of the dulcimer, (which is played with finger picks). Dulcemelos will be giving house concert in Silver Spring Fri. night 5/18, Northern Virginia Sat. night 5/19 and will give w workshop and concert Sun. 5/20 at Ken Koldoner's in Baltimore. more info...

Karen will perform Washington Folk Festival. She will be on the Yurt Stage with Jesse Palidofsky at 1:45, and doing a workshop on Music and Healing at 4:45-5:30 pm at the Chautauqua Stage. The festival runs Sat-Sun and is free to the public.
